A Savings account is the basic account which upon opening, makes a person a
member of the credit union. This account entitles the person to full use of the
credit union's products and services, and bestows the right to one full vote in any credit
union election or other voting situation of the membership.
With a minimum deposit of only $6.00, which includes a $1.00 non-refundable membership fee
and a $5.00 minimum balance, you too can become a member of PHFCU.
Membership has its advantages and is lifetime as long as you keep your savings account
open.

Savings account features:

Jumbo Savings Account |
To open this higher interest
savings account, simply:
Jumbo Savings Account requires a minimum daily
balance of $2500.00 in your account each day to obtain the disclosed annual percentage
yield. If your balance falls below $2500.00 you will be paid at the current share
savings account rate. Dividends
will be compounded and credited to your account every quarter. Statements will be sent out
monthly. Jumbo Savings Accounts may have access to ATM. Dividend rates are subject
to change daily.

Checking Account |

An account that provides members access to
funds via personalized checks for paying bills, making purchases and obtaining cash
without coming into the credit union. Members don't have to worry about maintaining
a minimum balance, or being assessed a monthly service charge.
This account pays no dividends. A
monthly statement will be provided to all members with Checking Accounts. Members
will be responsible for the reconcilement of their accounts.
Primary members must be 18 years or older
to open an individual share draft account. Members who are over 15 years but under
18 years old are required to open with a parent. A $20.00 initial deposit or greater
is required to open a share draft account.

Individual Retirement Account |
The easiest way to start an Individual Retirement Account is with
a payroll deduction plan from your employer.
Requirements
The minimum balance required to open this account is $10.00. You must
maintain a minimum daily balance of $5.00 in your account each day to obtain the disclosed
annual percentage yield.
Traditional IRA
If you are under age 70 1/2 for
the entire tax year and have earned income, you are eligible to establish an IRA, even if
you already participate in any type of government plan, tax-sheltered annuity, simplified
employee pension plan, or qualified retirement plan (pension or profit sharing)
established by an employer.
All earnings on your IRA contributions
(deductible and/or nondeductible) remain tax deferred until you make withdrawals from the
account.
The funds invested in an IRA grow quickly
in your credit union, and you have the convenience of depositing by payroll deduction.

Roth and Education IRAs.

Savings Certificates |
At Pearl Harbor FCU, you can purchase a
Savings Certificate with a minimum deposit of only $1,000. Choose the term you
want and receive a premium rate on your funds.
Requirements:
Minimum Deposit: $1,000
Term: Any maturity date between 30 and 366 days.
Provisions:
Early Withdrawal Penalty: The penalty we may impose will be the greater of seven days dividends on the amount withdrawn or all dividends that have been
earned not to exceed 90 days.
Earned Interest: Paid at maturity; if
requested, interest may be paid on a monthly basis, automatically credited to your Share
Account.
Renewal: May be renewed for another term at
the rate of interest offered at the time of renewal.
Collateral for Loans: You may borrow up to
90% of your pledged Savings Certificate.
